Carl Franklin Homes pioneered the use in the Texas market of most of the modern, high technology products being used by other builders today. We were building SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) homes in 1984, and were the first residential builder to install GeoThermal (Geo Exchange) heating and cooling systems in the Dallas market. We have built homes with technologies ranging from stained concrete floors to photo voltaic panels, and everything in between!
Each custom home has unique characterists, and not all energy saving technologies are appropriate for every floorplan. (As an example, if the home is all SIPs and is smaller, a geothermal heat pump may have only marginal effect on the energy consumption of the home.)
Which energy saving technologies are appropriate will be revealed as we discuss your particular home plans.
Below are examples of some of the technologies used.
1. Retrofit by cocooning with Demilec
Sealtec 500
2. Retrofit by sealing stick frame
roof to walls with Demilec
3. Retrofit HVAC with Geothermal Units
4. 30EER rated WaterFurnace Geothermal
Unit
5. De-Superheating from the Geothermal
unit for domestic hot water.
6. Early morning pour with pumper
truck
7. SIP 10' walls being installed
8. Custom cutting panels on the
jobsite after install
